In diesem Jahr konnten nach der coronabedingten Pause die Verdunfahrten der 9. Klassen wieder stattfinden. Auch der Jahrgang 10 durfte die Fahrt nach Verdun nachholen. Marius Misiunas (jetzt Jg. 11) schrieb einen Text über seine Eindrücke und Gedanken während der Exkursion. Am diesjährigen Volkstrauertag, dem 13. November, trug er ihn bei der Gedenkfeier der Stadt Mainz im Historischen Krematorium des Hauptfriedhofs vor (siehe Beitragsbild):
